I think the above quote by Og Mandino says it all and my PoV will be very short.
If there is anything life teaches us here on Steemit is the need to really be there for everyone no matter what we or they are going through.
The composition of life makes many see themselves as the center point of the universe. Many are never really about others but themselves; while only a few think more of others than of themselves, and those are the ones who truly make the world go round.
When you love others, you will extend goodwill to them because it is what your life will be about. For the man who truly selflessly gives, rewards are not what he seeks, but Satisfaction.
I am all for love. Do what brings love to others because you will be happier doing what makes others happy.

Very correct Sir! And timely too.. A lot of people do not care about others. It's all "me centered". Oh the joy that comes with doing something for others!
Altruism is the highest point of life. Living for others, helping and bringing solutions to people's needs without the thoughts of what you stand to gain.
I like the idea that we're all God's creations, and He put a little spark of Himself inside each of us.
So, when we're helping each other out, we're helping God out. (And, my capitalization makes me wonder, should I have written that as "helping Each Other out"?)
I have read some of Og Mandino's books and wow he was a great author.
Some times i read his books and think he is still alive!
There is more joy in giving than in receiving!
It is the satisfaction you get after you have selfishly helped someone that makes life amazing.

I am all for showing love and kindness to one another but I honestly think the platform is designed in such a way that it prevents just that from happening. Steemit claims to stand for rewarding people for content, but if we are all honest to our selves it doesn't really work that way. And because of this I strongly support the notion of a truly decentralized steemit for all. Great initiative @ejemai
Love is the greatest gift we can give to others,, and you shouldn't expect anything in return when you give a gift.
