DO YOU HAVE A SUPPORT SYSTEM?
Why a support system? The answer is simply because no man is an island. That statement is a popular one because it is viable. No matter the level a person might have attained, his/her dependence on a kindof support system is undeniable.

First and foremost, what is a support system? As defined by Merriam-Webster's dictionary, a support system is a network of people who provide and individual with practical and or emotional support. Did you read that? 'A network of people that provide practical and emotional support'. It is virtually impossible to go through life's struggle alone. You are not superman. Even Superman needed a kind of support system thats why we have the Justice League.

The primary essence if a support system is to provide emotional, practical, financial and all manner of support necessary for the achievement of a set goal. Giving and receiving support from others is a basic human need. Naturally, everyone goes through ups and downs, situations like this tends to heighten a sense of vulnerability. Because of this, people go in search of those that will accept them without judgement and those that can be depended upon when times are tough. Such is the aim of a support system. Research has shown that having a support system has many positive benefits, some of which include, a higher level of well-being, better coping skills, a longer and healthier life, decreased stress level 1

I asked a friend of mine what is opinion is on support systems and below is what he said;
Growing up, surpassing each phase of life as it passes by, if you could look back, you'd see thay you didn't make those strides alone. As a kid, mum was that source of solace, the shoulder upon which my burden is laid. I shared moments with her and she would go any extent to provide me with the deserving support i needed. Ranging from emotional support to social support to financial support, whatever the case may be. I won't forget my Dad also, a strong pillar to fall back on when developing as a kid.

Friends, please do yourself a favour and get yourself a healthy support system. The situation in Nigeria at the moment demands we make such moves.

"WE" is better. No one literally succeeds all alone. We all need the support of someone, somehow to achieve our goals.
It may not be finanacial support, it could be moral support. Even a single information you get from a little boy is enough to safe you a lifetime.
