You May Not Be Where You Want To Be But You Are Definitely Not Where You Used To Be
And that says alot, you really should be grateful for that!
The idea of "where I want to be" holds different meanings for different people and it goes to show how different our needs are most times. For some, it may mean attaining a certain level in their career. While for some, it will mean healing from certain pains they have gone through and achieving a mental and emotional balance. For others, it will mean losing some weight, getting fit and healthy etc.

When the realization of not being where we want to be hits us, there is a tendency of us sinking back to our shells, sulking all day (or longer) and probably drowning ourselves in self-pity.
In that moment of realization, we tend to forget that we started from somewhere and that we've come really far from where we started from. If for anything, I believe that realization should bring about a sense of being, draw your attention to the series of lessons you have learnt along the way, a reminder to be grateful for all of that and also to push forward.
Realizations like these will come by every once in a while and they really aren't our enemies, even though the truth it often brings is quite tough to deal with. These realizations are supposed to teach us and make us be better.

So, when those realizations come by, look back and see how far you've come and be grateful for that, ask yourself if you are moving on the right track towards that person you want to be or that height you want to reach, if you are, then there will be no need to panic. And if you are not, all you need do is sit back and restrategize (not panic).
Sometimes, we truly are on the right track, we just got overwhelmed by all that has been happening around us, and the number of our friends that seem accomplished and settled. In such cases, you have to understand that you might not have reached your goals but you have come far, you are still on that journey, and so, there is hope!!
Something else you will need to understand is that our journeys are different and it doesn't really matter if your friends accomplished there's before you.

You may not be where you want to be but that realization shouldn't stop you from living. Take steps that will move you towards that person you want to be or that place you want to reach and most importantly, enjoy your journey!
.
Much Love, Audrey

Great post! I like the idea of moving forwards towards being the person you want to be and at any time you can change and not be who you were yesterday.
That You! Change really is a constant and without it, we might not achieve that growth which we desire.

What a great reminder. Scott and I had to do this recently, which is why we are on SteemIt now. We were getting the traveling done and posting as we normally do, but we found the people who were "following" us were not really following. Instead they were just "liking" our posts and moving on. No one read or watched what we were creating; they also were not sharing or trying to participate. Something had to be done.
Often we find ourselves spinning our wheels like a vehicle in a mud rut; spinning, spinning, doing this over and over, not getting anywhere. If we will just stop and rethink the situation, try something different, we will figure out how to make things happen better.
Yes, you have definitely spoken some great wisdom and I hope everyone listens to what you have to say. Thanks so much for sharing this.

I am glad you found this post helpful, Ren.
I totally understand how overwhelming being stuck at one point can be, taking a break and thinking things through definitely helps offer clarity and redirection.
