5 Things to Do When You Wake Up in the Morning

A lot of random stuff can be done in the morning but not all of the things really adds up to our productivity. Most of the people prefer to wake up late in the morning because they think they have nothing to do in the early morning. But that is absolutely wrong and following the wrong path. Rising early in the morning has some great tangible as well intangible benefits that you will realise once you start putting it into action. But waking up early is not enough, there are some things that a person should do after waking up.  



Drink A Lot of Water 


During night, you may get pretty dehydrated and you might not realise it. So you should definitely consider drinking water rather than a tea or a coffee. After waking up you should drink at least two regular glasses of water. It will not only help your body tissues to be dehydrated again but also it will make you physically and mentally active. It helps to activate your metabolism. If you can just add lemon to your water then it would greatly and fastly help your body to become active and feel rehydrated.  



Short but Consistent Exercise 


In order to be healthy or have a balanced weight you don’t really have to go to a gym or a sports complex, all you need is a 10-15 minutes exercise and you are good to go. The amount of time is not important but consistency on the other side is very important in this case. It is better to have a daily 15mins exercise than to have an hour of exercise in a week. It will not only regulate blood pressure and weight but it will also make you active and realise your life. 


Listen to Music 

Music is one of the best therapy that you can have to feel relaxed, happy and uplifted. Listening to your favourite playlist and genre can help you to become more enthusiastic in your talks. It is a great way to release stress and any kind of tension. Personally I have an alarm set in my speaker and it wakes me up brutally but happily (Being a bachelor has its own benefits). Try avoid listening songs that might get stuck into your head then probably you may recite that song the whole day and I guess you wouldn’t want that. 


Meditate and Smile 

Meditation doesn’t mean that you should pay attention to a single thought or think nothing. But it actually means is you should be able to focus on things that you really want to focus on and be happy about it. If you are forcefully trying to focus on things that you don’t want then you are probably going to feel lazy or not happy. Think about a thing that you feel happy about and focus on in consciously.  


Breakfast 


Breakfast is a very important mean that you should never miss because at the end it is going to decide where you are going to be overeating or having a balanced and healthy diet. In breakfast you should definitely consider taking protein and carbohydrates because it can greatly help you to give a head start and maintaining you energy, control and enthusiasm whole day. In most of the cases, irregular breakfast leads to overeating in the day or night time and ultimately leads to obesity. If you are a disciplined person then you can do it pretty easily but if not then you will need to improve yourself and set your path strainght.

I try to do my workouts in the morning it gives a good feeling for the rest of the day. Some people suggest fasting once a week, any insights on this?

Yeah! You can do that but I would recommend you to do small runs but consistently.

I am trying hard to wake up at 5 a.m since last one month but I am unable to do so. Any useful tips?

You don't need to start waking up at 5 am directly. you can start waking up at 6:30 am then reducing the time to 5am. That would be continuous and helpful :)
