Steemit Monthly Author Challenge - Day 1

@ace108 posted some days ago about the monthly author challenge and no he didn't nominate us for it but we got challenged. The last time we tried to do a month long of posting didn't go well. We hope we can keep up with this one.

There's no better way to start this month long series than wishing my brother a happy birthday! I wrote about him here.

Today he is turning 29 and our family has never been more grateful. His condition, being microcephalic and diagnosed with cerebral palsy made the doctors give us an estimate of him living only until 5 years old. He's 29!!! How many 5 years have passed already?

Day by day he experiences seizures and most times we witness him fight them off. Other days, he just look tired but we're glad he's hanging on.

Since my son is on his week long examinations, we're going to celebrate with my brother this weekend at my parents' house. I'll try to post what happens that day.
