Yesterday, the Singapore Budget was announced in the parliament. The GST, that's Goods and Services Tax, will be raised from 7% to 9%. Not now, not next year but between 2021 to 2025. There were signs that it will be raised before the announcement. Some expected it to go to 10%. Are we supposed to be happy with 9%? I don't know. I think, it's the retailers going to be happy. Especially those selling big ticket items. I think people will be buying them before the GST increase. Taking loans maybe. This should be good for the banks. How about buying some more bank shares?
