Last Saturday, having dinner at a coffeeshop near home and I saw this. Still more than 3 weeks away and they started rolling out Yusheng which is a dish served in Chinese Lunar New Year. Used to be popular on on the 7th day. Over the years, people began to capitalised on selling this the whole of Chinese New Year and now more than 3 weeks to Chinese New Year, it already started. 😎

Yes, it is. I don't know why. Maybe to decorate because the dish don't really require liquor but then again maybe people has asked for it before. :-)

Well, this is not so eggnog. Not even supposed to have alcohol traditionally.
Actually, I describe it is Chinese New Year salad to foreign friends. It's the fun of getting to eat it. Mostly vegetable related stuff and sauce plus raw fish which is the most non-vegetarian item.
Exactly. I just mean as they roll it out for the holidays, but it gets earlier each year!!
That's what happens when business capitalize on holidays.
