The Cozy Relationship Between Monsanto And The Media

The glyphosate ingredient that is widely used in Monsanto weedkiller products has previously been deemed a carcinogen and linked to cancer back in 2015, by the World Health Organization, among other critics.

But not all health organizations have come to the same conclusion, the European Food Safety Authority for example has suggested, in the same year, that it's unlikely to be damaging to DNA or pose any carcinogenic threat. Still, we have seen that thousands of lawsuits have been pursued by people who claim to have endured injury because of exposure to glyphosate.

In previously released documents, the close connection between the media and Monsanto started to be revealed, specifically that they've allegedly utilized certain reporters to help undermine and work to discredit the accusations against their products in the media.

It's been revealed that Reuters reporters have allegedly published pro-Monsanto pieces, after being asked to write those reports exactly how Monsanto wanted it to be written.

According to those reports it's one reporter in particular who contributed to their efforts to discredit the accusations that glyphosate might be a potential carcinogen. Not only did the reporter write essentially puff pieces for the company that they allegedly requested verbatim, but they also allegedly got the chance to look over those reports before they were published to the public.

It's alleged that on multiple occasions that they had a close working relationship, seeking to publish pro-Monsanto pieces in the news.

They were struggling to discredit the views on glyphosate that were coming from the International Agency for Research on Cancer, by driving a false narrative surrounding the cancer scientists who were criticizing the product.

The public expects for the most part that journalists are going to be asking the difficult questions and daring to post the truth even if it's controversial or upsetting, and it isn't within their interests for journalists to act like corporate prostitutes like they seemingly have in these circumstances.

Not only has Monsanto sought to work closely in the past with the media but it's also alleged that they've sought to influence scientific research about their products as well, in an aggressive attempt to steer the debate about what they have to offer.

Researchers who have been previously involved with those efforts have reportedly expressed their discontent in the past saying that they weren't comfortable contributing to unethical and deceptive authorship of any publication or presentation that would be released.

Bayer's Monsanto still has plenty of legal troubles ahead of them and despite their will to continue appealing unfavorable decisions in court it looks like increasingly, things haven't been going in their favor with the climbing number of lawsuits that are being initiated against them and the recent rulings that have found them responsible for causing harm with their products.

Well, it is the same puppeteers that own both.
They also own the legal system.
And most of the scientists are on their payroll.

So, what do you expect?

I expect more and more people to realize that it is all one group, and then, because there is no justice through the legal system, will burn it all down.

I just hope that by that time we have learned who the puppeteers are, and properly apportion blame.
