Two streets on the Petrogradsky side
Petrogradsky side is the common name of the district of St. Petersburg, which is located on the Petrogradsky, Petrovsky, Zayachy, Aptekarsky, Krestovsky, Kamenny and Yelagin islands. The last three islands are sometimes called simply “Islands”, summer houses were located there, and now most of these islands are occupied by parks. This picture was taken on Petrograd Island. It was built up with stone buildings in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth century. Most of the buildings were wooden prior to this. Now it is one of the central areas of the city, although it used to be considered a outskirts.
