The hunter @monomad

Been reviewing some of my wildlife photos from my last trip, and decided to make an entry out of this one to @monomad challenge. The photo was taken during a safari to Uda Wallawe National Park, in Sri Lanka.

From the countless times I birdwatched, I do notice that when you're inside a vehicle, perched birds normally allow you to get much closer than if you are on foot. Maybe its the way they perceive humans as a threat, and don't associate a vehicle to the human presence; I honestly don't have a clue... but the result is the chance to get some great photos, especially with a decent zoom camera.

And there it stood: a stunning Changeable Hawk-eagle Nisaerus cirrhatus, perched in an isolated tree, scouting the horizon.
