MonoMad: Tree Stump

This is my first contribution to the daily #MonoMad photo contest created by @brumest, curated by @monochromes.
I have shot this Tree Stump yesterday morning during my morning walk on the Dobratsch mountain near Villach (see my yesterday's post https://steemit.com/photography/@johannpiber/beautiful-sunrise-on-the-mountain). I like the small clouds behind the stump most, and the fact that it looks like a desert photo at first glance, I think.

I find a beautiful photo with that old trunk in the snow and in the background the cobblestones of clouds that forecast rain in a few days. Very cute 🙂
