The Aran Sweater Shop Ireland monomad

This lonely looking building sits on the Aran Island of Inishmore in the North Atlantic off the mainland coast of Ireland. Here tourists can purchase sweaters and other hand-knitted wares made by the inhabitants of this beautiful and isolated place.

There is not much economy here. The people raise some livestock and do some farming. That and the tour groups keep the small population alive.

@bxlphabet and his church youth group came out to this island for a few days during their pilgrimage to Ireland. It was a restful stop in an otherwise packed schedule.

All there is to do is to walk and see the views, so it was a nice break. They also met some local folklorists who told them stories about the country they were touring.
