Monochrome Monday - Street Lamps !!
Street Lamps...well i have say Street Lamps are all around us but have we really looked up and take notice of them and appreciate how useful they are in making our lives easier by shining that light out at us and not having to walk the streets in darkness.
And i do think many of us like myself have never really looked up to see what that street lamp shining that beautiful light at us really looks like and it wasn't till my friend @erikah introduced to us that fun challenge @sevendaysoutside that i look up at them street lamps more often.
We have always taken it for granted that the street lamp is going to be there shining that light to guide us home safely weather the street lamp were mounted on a wall on a column just hanging there or straight out of the ground on a decorative upright pole. To be honest with you i have found some of these street lamps quite a piece of art and am enjoying looking for different ones all the time now.
This street lamp i found quite interesting there was only one globe lit and the other half of this street lamp was broken but been occupied by a birds nest who had made it her family home how sweet.
And like this one only half the lamp is working while the other one is taking a nap.
Well i have got to say i have taken up more of a fascination towards street lamps now some are quite simply but nice in there own way were as others really show up as a beautiful piece of art.
So next time your walking home from work or a night out look up and give a hello and a thank you to your street lamps for shining down at you and guiding you home safely.

Cool shots, my friend. Indeed, these are some of those objects which are easily forgotten. We don't bother to look up and we are missing many interesting things. On the other hand, looking after lamps might be dangerous. I will tell you a funny joke.
Why are you wearing black? What happened?
My father died in a plane crash.
Omg. How did that happen?
He was walking and he heard a plane. He started to watch its flight and he felt in a sewer.
Thank you roxy-cat i have found the most amazing things to photograph when looking up but i do stop walking before i look up i don't want to fall into a sewer....haha...RIP poor bugger...lol :)
Those are some nice looking ones Angelo!
