Firstly, the numbers: our total value is currently about 1766 STEEM (+10 STEEM), including 790 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 15203 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 11.62 STEEM cents (0.1162 STEEM), slightly up on yesterday.
ONECENT News
Still healthy growth, though perhaps not as spectacular as recent days. Some income, such as rewards, bounce around rather unpredictably - sometimes just one vote more or less can make a significant difference.
I see once again, much talk about following curation trails. Once a trail gets beyond 20 or so followers it really becomes uneconomic for everybody else; sure, do it if you support a cause, but don't expect to make much in curation rewards. Much better, from an individual perspective, to power down that SP and invest in some vote bonds such as MAXUV or MAPXV. Yes, it's a plug, but it's also true.
The idea that SP is the leading metric for success and influence is no longer true - and hasn't been true since Steem Engine was launched. Sure, at some point, someone, somewhere has to create STEEM profits, but that can now be one or two steps removed from one's SP. Indeed, it is not even possible to buy tokens directly with SP, although it is possible to earn some tokens by delegating SP, such as our own MAPR fund tokens.
