Warning: Your Money Is Not Real

Brief History of the Dollar

The thaler was a silver coin used throughout Europe for almost four hundred years. This is the origin of the word dollar. The word "thaler" is German for "person from the valley".

The Coinage Act of 1792 defined a specific weight of Silver for each US dollar. A dollar must contain 371.25 grains of silver or it is considered to be counterfeit.

Counterfeiting is as old as money itself. Did you know the Coinage Act of 1792 made it a felony to debase or counterfeit dollars? The punishment was death. Now, why is it so wrong to counterfeit money? Because, every fake dollar you create steals a fraction of a penny from everyone. This artificial increase in the money supply causes prices to rise for everyone.

So one can logically conclude that Inflation is a hidden tax on everyone... and taxation is theft... so, the government is stealing our money through money creation.

"Paper is poverty... it is only the ghost of money, and not money itself."
~ Thomas Jefferson

Monopoly Money

Look at this photo of our newly color-tinted currency. The colors and denominations match up exactly with fake Monopoly money.

Let's calculate the odds of this happening randomly by accident. For the sake of this argument... Let's say there are 10 colors to choose from. (Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Teal, Blue, Purple, Brown, White)

  • You have a 1 in 10 chance of having a $1 dollar bill be randomly selected to be the color White.
  • You have a 1 in 100 chance of both a Pink $5 dollar bill and a White $1 dollar bill being selected randomly.
  • You have a 1 in 1000 chance of the $10 being Yellow, the $5 being Pink, and the $1 being White.
  • You have a 1 in 10,000 chance of the $20 being Green, the $10 being Yellow, the $5 being Pink, and the 1 being White.
  • You have a 1 in 100,000 chance of the $50 being Blue, the $20 being Green, the $10 being Yellow, the $5 being Pink, and the $1 being White.
    • The odds are that this "1 in 100,000 chance" color combination did not come about by accident. The people who color-tinted the money, left a subtle message for you to detect. The message is "Your money is exactly like fake monopoly money!!"

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning."
      ~ Henry Ford

      Money is Debt

Money used to be a store of value. The harder you worked the more silver coins you owned.

Look at the top of your money. It says "Federal Reserve Note". A note is a loan. Paper money today is a pile of debt notes. The more you own the more debt is injected into the system.

Most people do not realize when you swipe your card at a gas station, the money used to pay for the gas never existed before you swiped.

These new debt notes are generated at the time of purchase. They increase the money supply, which causes higher prices for all.

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain

Now to understand this next part, you'll need a brain, a heart and some courage.

The Wizard of Oz, a great story about the masses rising up against those in power, was actually intended to be viewed as a political allegory. It was written by Lyman Frank Baum, a man who deeply understood money creation. He understood that there was something very wrong with our monetary system.

Here are a few examples of how he worked his political views into the story:

The Munchkins – Represented the poor brain-washed masses, enslaved by powerful interests and clueless about how to change things.

The Yellow Brick Road – Represented a path of Gold bars leading the way back to the Gold standard monetary system.

Dorothy’s Slippers – In the book, Dorothy’s Slippers were made Silver. She walked along the path of Gold wearing her magic Silver slippers. Her magic slippers were switched to Ruby Red, in the movie, to show-off fancy new color film for the first time. All movies prior were black and white.

Oz – Represented the abbreviation for an ounce.

The Emerald City - Green because it represented the printing of the "Green-Back" or paper US dollar.

The Scarecrow – Represented the American farmer, who was often portrayed as illiterate and brain-dead.

The Tin Man – Represented the American industrial worker, who had been exploited by rich and powerful employers.

The Wizard – The man behind the curtain is clearly the Federal Reserve Bank. They seem to always be the ones pulling the strings behind the curtain.

Movie Spoiler: The Emerald city is controlled by the Wizard at the beginning of the movie but the Munchkins wake up and take over at the end.

Great article! Antonopoulos has talked about how money is just a social contract and it can be anything we agree on... like a seashell or bitcoin.

Nations have dominated the money issuer role for some time now... enough that people think that's just way it is. It going to come to an end. Friedrich Hayek wrote about it in is 1974 book The Denationalization of Money and argued private money would be more stable. I agree and think cryptocurrencies will take over that role.

Great! I had never noticed the color coding effect of our US currency before. Just like Monopoly money!
