Does ANYONE else find it exceedingly disturbing that the Fed. has been paying the banks interest on excess reserves, while they rob American citizens who have interest earning accounts blind by keeping rates suppressed?
Yep. We never get to play by the same rules as the big dogs do. There are two sets of laws, two economies, two healthcare systems, and on and on. Meanwhile we are kept distracted fighting over things that are just ideas. If people stopped fighting over differences in race, gender, faith, etc. and started asking themselves what they have in common, they would never stand for what is being done to steal from them and further enrich the already rich.
For the most part people have. The last election proved this. Now we need to stand our ground. Trump was not well liked but the message was sent to them. They just keep pushing their own narrative.
I would say the opposite has happened. People are fighting over nonsense more than ever. Meanwhile just about everyone's longterm prospects worsen and for many there is already immediate harm being experienced. Only when we do start looking at common ground can we make progress. Right now we're not just divided, but polarized.
Governments doing something disturbing? It's more expected more than anything.
