I’M NOT trying to copy @b0y2k’s idea instead I want to compliment with additional information on how to get another debit card through Xapo’s bank. Personally I have both in case an establishment doesn’t accept Mastercard which is the franchise that backs up the Wirex account and Xapo is backed up by Visa. In my case living in South America sometimes you run into places where they don’t accept either one of the franchises named before and it would be very sad not being able to spend your hard earnings.

WIREX & XAPO DEBIT CARDS

So here are the steps to register your Xapo account and get your card. 

 Go to the link www.xapo.com and create an account with your email, password and 4 digit PIN 

After creating the account log in to the main page using the email and PIN you have just created. Go to your “wallet” on the tab located on the top on the left side. I already ordered my card and as you can see it says ACTIVATE CARD but if you’re just going to order it this will say BUY CARD. 

After purchasing the card you will receive an email letting know that the transaction has been approved and that in the following business days you will be receiving it.  

To activate your card you have to type in the LAST 4 DIGITS ON THE CARD and than you click back on your CARD to view the PIN (this is different than the one you registered with your sign up account)

Once your card is activated you can now go to any ATM and withdraw your money, I call it “Optimus Cash” because its transformer money; in this case I transformed SBD to BTC to COP (Colombian Pesos) 

Besides the different franchises that back up the Wirex and Xapo’s card, the Xapo card doesn’t need to be pre-loaded in ordered to be used making it easier to use once it is activated where the Wirex card needs to be pre-loaded first.

Also take into consideration that there are commissions that these banks charge for the use of the cards and it has a cost to get your card delivered if you decide to get it physical.

The Wirex debit card has a cost of 50USD with expedite delivery through DHL and the Xapo card 75USD. The delivery period is between 5-7 days and the expedite delivery is the one I recommend the most because some colleagues ordered them with the normal delivery rate and they got lost on the way and never received it
