IT'S MY MONEY!!!

The world indeed is a funny place. Most people think that the employees are the only ones who suffer negligence when their wages are due them right? … WRONG

Most entrepreneurs also go through something similar, the only difference with theirs is this; sometimes they can do something about it, other times they are basically helpless.

As an entrepreneur you have two broad categories of clients:

- A. Those who are honored by your work

- B. Those who you are privileged to work for

If you do a job or render your services to the first category and there is a delay in payment, you can, to an extent intimidate the person into giving you your money. I mean he or she respects you enough, and will apologetically give it to you. Yes I know you were stressed, but you had some type of control over the money… your money.

Let's turn the tables around, and say you did a job for category B, when the payment is due, you start to feel to an extent, a tad skeptical about calling this man, woman, or company for your own money. This happens to you because of fear:

- You do not want to call at the wrong time

- You do not want to be perceived as someone who loves money a lot (this is just sick, how can you not love money)

- You do not want to lose this client

Come to think of it, if this category B individual refuses to pay you, what can you really do?

NOTHING!!!

This is the part that really gets my attention. Now this Category B individual, eventually will give you the money, and even after all the stress you were put through, you will receive with so much gratitude and plenty smiles at the expense of your bleeding heart.

As an Entrepreneur, you have to look beyond doing the job yourself to having a system that works for you. If you keep taking on these jobs and working as an individual, you’ll have to live with this type of treatment. Come to think of it… how many clients can you take on at once?

Every successful entrepreneur turned his profession into business, such that even when he/she sleeps, they already have a system working for them. That way, even if for any reason, they have a delayed payment, they aren’t moved or disturbed.

Plus it’s really hard to owe a business, you prolly would pay ahead of time.
