The Shot Across The Bow That Signaled the Big Boys...
Well folks it looks like it is playing out this direction. Unless the big boys decide to to turn it around expect a long road ahead.
Let me walk you through this....
After the 2+ year BEAR MARKET of TIME before 2016, Trump got elected at the first arrow and sparked a euphoric buying spree of big business, small business, tax reform, buybacks, and consumer confidence.
From there we grinded up on positive strength and momentum with the RSI and got extremely overbought.
Then the volatility explosion happened. You can see this on the first down arrow and that was the “Shot Across The Bow”. The warning sign signaling to the Big Boys to start UNLOADING.
From that point it was all in the emotion and the charts. I was looking for the THE RSI AND MOMENTUM to diverge from Price and it would take another high in price to do that. After 7 months of selling into strength the boys have let it go.
The Media and Banks are selling the world that this is a huge BTFD opportunity. I will not agree with that until I see some actual strength. Take a look at $NFLX...The banks straight sold into you over the post 48 hours.
This is far from over here. I am 100% cash.

The big boys have to push up the market to get our of their longs if this is the end.
What has the last 6 months been? The big boys pushing it up...zero momentum.

Seems to me we might be in a period during which the initial "high roller gambler" investors are exiting the scene and their leavings are slowly being bought up by long terms holders who selectively will buy into projects that look authentically promising... on the several years time frame.
