A few days ago an e-mail from the VICE team dropped into my inbox, announcing the launch of their platform.

"The Vice Industry Token Main Net is now LIVE! Registration is open for applicants, and here's what you need to know! At this time, registration will require users to vest 1,500 VIT. Vesting is similar to staking, and it's simply placing your tokens in an account to be held for a period of time. This ensures that scammers aren't creating multiple accounts, and will give the team ample time to verify each registrant is on-boarded properly. This process will last for 5 days, after which all accounts will be verified in a uniform manner. "

Who is not aware of the VICE network, it's an adult network soft-forked off Steem. Make money by curating videos and potentially on other areas as well, as Vice has cannabis and gambling mentioned on their website as well. The system works essentially like Steem, with the amount of powered up /staked tokens defining your upvote value and the curation rewards that come with it.

According to a recent decision made by the management, vit.tube has now been re-branded as touch.tube. As I and some of my friends have small investments in the Vice Industry Tokens, it's only logical we immediately headed to the newly opened website to register funny or cool usernames for ourselves.

Registering for the platform is open on two sites at this moment, touch.tube and touchit.social. After picking your desired username, you get an e-mail to confirm your registration and after that, a notification to deposit 1500 VIT to avoid scammers creating multiple empty accounts.

You can send from an exchange, either HitBTC or Cryptopia, or even from your MEW (myetherwallet), as the deposit address for everyone is unique and the amount of VIT sent there will get staked. Although the message states, that 1500 VIT is needed, one can send more and according to the team, this amount will all remain staked and can be powered down over a period of approximately 3 months.

Keep in mind, that sending from HitBTC exchange carries high fees, because of the high withdrawal fee - nearly a 1000 VIT. So sending too small amount might eat into the 1500 VIT needed to verify yourself.

Due to a massive amount of new people registering, the VIT team has asked for everyone's patience and promised to verify accounts in ~5 days, as it's probably done manually.
