Bug out vehicle and my thoughts on what you should bring if the United States economy collapses and our country falls into chaos .
If the economy collapses and the Internet is still working I could see millions of Americans purchasing bitcoin, steemit dollars, and other crypto currencies. Currently, it is not very practical to purchase silver coins or gold coins of any substantial amount. The value of the US dollar could fall sharply and you would not have enough time to buy the things you would need to survive in a post apocalyptic economy. 
I think the ideal bug out vehicle would be four-wheel-drive, large storage rack on top with high-intensity LED floodlights, and outside awning to provide shelter when camping . I interviewed the owner of this modified land rover Range Rover from Leadville Colorado. He would not give me his name so let's just call him Jason Bourne. Jason explained to me that he had yeti containers that are waterproof and he proof on his roof rack so that if his Range Rover was parked in a parking lot thieves would have to climb up on the rack. He believed that would be very impractical and once they're up there the thieves would discover that the containers are locked with master locks and strapped to the roof rack . 
The awning is a camouflage color green to blend well into the wilderness without drawing too much attention . Because it's mounted to the side of the vehicle it is very sturdy, wind resistant, and deploys and folds up very quickly. He also kept a bugout bag attached to the spare tire, it was currently full of tools in case he needed to make a quick repairs .
Another vehicle auction is a modified RV. This provides more of a camping situation and maybe even a homebase if things got really bad and you were able to make it out to the wilderness .

If the Internet is working do you think people will use bitcoin and steemit currencies to keep the local economy running? I have always been told that food, water, ammunition, gold, and silver coins are what people should bring in a survival situation. @briandenver
I drove a couple hours for Uber tonight and made $80 while this post made three cents. Thanks a lot steemit, i'm going to be a bit coin millionaire before you know it! @briandenver Bitcoin steamit are currently available to buy with gold coins and silver coins for the price.

STOPNice bug out vehicle! You should get a VW transporter what I have got they are sick!
I love old VW microbus and I don't know how reliable they are but I would imagine in an economic collapse he might be able to use parts from other cars to keep it running. Jason Bourne's highly modified Land Cruiser might require expensive spare parts.

STOPI love these off roaders, they look super cool. A rural area would be a great place for them. Blending in and being in cognito would be better suited for more popular areas for sure. I wouldn't want to attract attention. So maybe more minivan style for urban areas.

I totally forgot about water and water filtration, if the power grid went down in the United States it would be very quick until you could not drink the water coming out of the tap.
