Thanks @maneco64, I've just ordered the France inflation book for £3 in the UK:

Do you think that because Germany and France have some historical experience with hyperinflation, that there might still be some kind of cultural memory that protects them more than the US/UK are protected? I'm wondering whether the Euro might actually become a relatively stronger currency (at least for a while) partly because of this.

@andybets You are right. The Germans and French have had several currencies in the last 100 years unlike the US and UK.
