Bitpay Debit Card- can cash out 10k USD instant to the card......no need for bank accounts. You can take out what you need from an ATM.

Localbitcoin if you want large amounts of cash all at once. Find a reliable person in your area and build a relationship. I left coinbase long ago brother. They are no different than a bank.

Thanks for sharing this important information about Bitpay...10k USD limit is huge...

Thanks for the info. Those are some insanely high limits!

I really do want a bitcoin debit card, but I remember reading that at least one converts it to USD automatically. I want to keep my bitcoin as bitcoin (or ethereum since I believe there is now at least one Ethereum card) until I need to withdraw. Does that make sense? Which one is this card?

Of course they are no different than a bank - but is that a bad thing?

@kyle.anderson that depends on you. I personally am no fan of banks or how they operate. I also am no fan of trusting someone else to hold/deal with my money.

Haha I don't use them so that should say something.

My comment was only to get people thinking. I like when people do that.

@thejohalfiles thanks for the information about Bit pay Debit Card. I'll look into it ASAP. I'm relatively new to both Steemit and cryptocurrencies, so any information helps.

no problem

yes, I use Bitpay, but did not realize the limit was that high

Yeah brother , same. I didn't realize at first...now I use them a lot. I started using them after I left coinbase. Much less stress without the wait to sell and involving them.

I saw one of Craig's sons in a Yuliana video using his own BitPay card and thought, "Hey I've got to look ito that."Now, I see your comments here and I know I have to give it a looksee. Now, in fact I am not trying to spend BTC but rather to acquire them for exchange into BCC (for loans) and STEEMPOWER for creds on STEEMIT. lol I am afraid to use Coinbase because it seems so unreliable but I am having a helluva time finding a convenient way to buy BTC with USD I have in a credit union in Maryland.

Thanks for all the info in your comments. I appreciate you @thejohalfiles Peace and love.

Coinbase is also heavily regulated, I read somewhere that soon they gonna hand out 1099 tax form for US users. Seen Bitpay alot here and there, but never felt confident to open an account there, gotta look into it more now.
