Monero's Back in the Top 10
Despite the current market and falling price, Monero $XMR has climbed back into the top ten cryptocurrencies by market cap list and will likely stay there.
There is a strong case to make that Monero is not suffereing from 'the purge' and it's market dominance is growing. The mining pools are also still growing implying positive sentiment and some solid foundation/support levels set by $XMR miners. Many of whom believe in the technology and have found innovative new ways to spend/use/store Monero in this market.

In regards to cloud mining, Minergate's Monero Cloud Mining Contracts have held on while many other contracts have been frozen or squeezed recently. Bitcoin $BTC mining contracts are under the most fire, many have since been terminated since our last Monero Difficulty Watch post.
Aside from some minor up-swings, Monero $XMR's difficulty has seen a slow rise since it's decline after the CryptoNightv7 hardfork back in April. Currently there are no apparent signs of ASICs on XMR pools. Although we've seen the return of FPGA mining; true ASICs are no longer feasible mining XMR with the current 6mos mining window between each planned Anti-ASIC hardfork. The next anti-ASIC hard-fork should be happening soon.
With the most decentralized altcoin, lifetime cloud mining contracts that seem fit for the long haul and Anti-ASIC/botnets hardforks every 6mos; I believe Monero XMR will continue to grow it's dominance in the privacy coin sector. Other coins I hodl in the sector include DigitalNote $XDN (don't ask), Dash $DASH and Linda $LINDA.

THe XMR contract is still alive but maintence is eating 2/3rds of the mining.
Better than termination, no?
Difficulty is almost 2/3rds less since the April Anti-ASIC/botnet fork.... tit for tat, still looking good to hodl for Future gains and likely better than other contracts since it's now tried and tested.
Update: The maintenance is actually eating up 1/3 of the returns on my contracts.

Hi @donald.porter it is nice to see XMR in the top 10. So far l've been lucky and all my BTC contracts are still alive, and XMR is still chugging away. I haven't been paying attention to minergate chat or discord for a while, is there still any talk of ETH contracts or is that rumour still not coming true. A Vega rig would be awesome, I'm very jealous. Cheers mate, John.

The Minergate chat/discord is sooo flooded with noobs and mis-information, I slowly stopped going there myself. Just about stopped completely after they added the service monitor, lol.
I believe the $ETH contracts are delayed indefinitely judging by the current market, I don't blame them.
I couldn't afford the Vegas, in February would of sold my moped to get 1, maybe. That was a terrible idea. The new plan was to save for one and since the market tanked GPU prices, I was able to get 3 Vega 56 (wish they were 64s) for about $420 each, un-real considering it was $900+ for 1 just 6mos ago.
@jk6276 are you $BTC contracts on Minergate as well?
Yes my Btc is on mg. I was lucky and they all are holding in. I've got 2200 Ghs on BTC and 270 Hs on Xmr.
