Google Pixel XL 2 specs leak just before launch

Google's Pixel successors are just about to be unveiled later today and almost as if it is tradition, most of the specs and the design of the phone have already been leaked.

We can clearly see that the infamous glass part at the back of the phone has been reduced and hopefully is going to have some scratch protection, unlike the previous generation. The rest of the back is made out of aluminum which renders wireless charging very unlikely. It is also speculated that the 3.5mm headphone jack will not be present on the device.

The flagship in question is the bigger brother of the two - the Pixel XL. According to the leaks, the XL will have the 6 inch P-OLED screen (manufactured by LG) with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It is also rumored to have some sort of Always-On-Display like the Samsung phones have right now.

Camera is now believed to be handled by a special chip which will be responsible for the image quality of pictures and video, moving away from Qualcomm's indoor positioning system. The only information we have on actual specs is that the front facing camera is an 8MP F2.4 shooter. No word on the rear camera, however.

That said, the phone is still going to have a Qualcomm chip inside, none other than the Snapdragon 835 with 4GB of RAM. Google's phones have always been late in the competition in terms of specs but the phones have always handled themselves very well.

The device is believed to have 64GB of storage. The 128GB version, although not mentioned, is also very likely.
