Well the hybrid type of development as I understand it is how many js developers on angular framework develop android apps. Pure nativ development is development using one high-level programming language and css for markup.
In general, you said everything correctly, there is of course a difference in the types of development and a big one. Especially any mobile app developer, even a beginner, will tell you that. If you want to know more about it, I advise you to read an article comparing native app development vs hybrid. There you can learn much more nuances in development, what technologies are used. How development works, what tools are used, etc. We once ordered an application for our company from this company, so at the time I had to learn a lot to be competent in this matter.
