I just watched this last night along with the other one right after this where the boxer beats the wing chun guy with one hand behind his back. I've been doing wing chun for about 20 years and think this is pretty sad. On the other hand wing chun people need to see this to drop the nonsense and train realistically. These wing chun practitioners clearly watched too many Ip Man movies and thought that was going to work.

Same here my friend although I never trained Wing Chun exclusively, just taking bits from my sparring partners over the years. I agree that WC can be used in a fight, I've used trapping and hitting in full contact kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts.

Unfortunately there can be much delusion in the traditional martial arts world!

Didn't see much technique from the Wing Chun guy, just some slappity slap and expecting it to work on the MMA guy. He didn't have a lot of conditioning either, you can see in the last part he already dropped his arms while the MMA guy's still ready to rumble. He probably spent too much time in the training hall practicing on non-resistant partners.

Totally agree! Training with compliant partners seems to be as far as most take it, then they worry what's happening when someone really tries to punch them in the face!

In martial arts it's really beneficial even if you don't practice other martial arts to at least try to understand them with their techniques and movement.

Totally agree! Even Wing Chun can work if someone trains and understands how to use the moves.
