I have a tendency to pick up little old things and put them in boxes in an outbuilding. this is admittedly ridiculous, and Ihate clutter. I will probably think about this question the next time I am thinking about bidding on an item at auction....
True, that write made me too reflect on a number of things, on their value and what my life would for instance be like without them, or even if i actually need them.
