Hi there,

I've decided to create a weekly program(second episode today)Episode 2 and I use your guide to point new users how to join the minnowsupportproject, I also have seen some people that might not understand english and being spanish my mother language, I was thinking if you would mind if I translate your guide and point it to this post. Please let me know if you agree.

Take note that some of these steps are no longer necessary (but I can't edit the post). You can completely skip the Streemian signup and curation trail for minnow support now.

Hi @lexiconial, as I just read you don't have to join Streemian but I wanted sign in though. It seems to doesn't work, I upgraded my account on Streemian but my account is still not verified - do. you know what to do?
And another question, do I still have to send 0.001 SBD to banjo?

Hi laura,

These can probably be more competently answered for you in the chat. But I'll take a swing.

For Streemian, I think you need to verify it somehow and give it some posting/voting key access. Now, I also heard a couple weeks ago something about Streemian being down? You may want to search Steemit for this on the #Streemian tag...it could be that the service is still out.

You don't have to send the SBD to Banjo unless you register to join the group. That's to keep out abuse, not to make a profit, just for clarification. Once you do register you can use banjo and the other upvote bot to vote on your posts. You'll get way more than .001 SBD back just the first time you use them...like, over 100x as much.

I can send you some if you need it, let me know! I also voted you enough to pay the tab, but you'll have to wait 7 days to get it.

@lexiconical it won't let me complete step 3. keeps saying have between 6-30 characters but I am typing that and its not working. What am I doing wrong?

Hi @isteemithad,

I can only guess that there is either a site issue, or a password restriction that they aren't displaying well on the site (using a number or something).

Also, Streemian could be down.

The good news is I don't think you even have to do that anymore. Simply stop in at the MSP Discord and sign-up with the bots there. We don't do the vote-trailing on the MSP bots anymore.

How can we join if we don't have any STEEM yet? Will the Bots accept STEEM Dollars? And aren't the STEEM dollar tokens worth more than regular STEEM tokens? These questions answered and more, on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!!!!! 🔮🐉

Hi Deburnay,

Steem dollars (SBD) are currently worth more than the $1 they are usually pegged to, but still less than 1 Steem Token.

I think the bots may take either, as a confirmation for sign-up. Try asking in the discord that. I think you only need 1 for each.

If you don't have any, you can probably accrue a couple bucks with a few good comments on trending articles.

I tried to register, but its way too complicated.
I registered and downloaded this discord thingie. It seems to be a application for zit-faced teens without real lives. I can't find a $register button, or whatever. And why should I send steem to 2 people I've never heard of?
And what's this other site about, steemian? That site wants me to send someone some steem too. Aren't you getting a bit greedy. All this to join a minnow support group?
I'll come back and take a second look when you remove these requirements to join other sites I would otherwise have no interest in whatsoever.
Oh, and also remove the requirements to pay. I'll gladly upvote you and resteem. But paying, I firmly believe, should be voluntary and never a requirement.

The registration requirements are to prevent abuse, which even with them, has been an issue.

Same with the .001 SBD you have to send to the two bots. I think that comes out to under a penny.

Streemian is used for curation trailing by a lot of users. You might want to verify whether or not MSP is still using it.

Discord is a pretty good chat app, not sure where the complaints there lie.

Hi @lexiconical. I'm trying to register on Discord and both banjo and minnowsupport are requesting 0.001 Steem. Do I have to send to both of them? Thanks for your help!

Hi @lolzwithlisa,

Each bot requires the .001SBD (about a tenth of a cent) registration to help prevent abuse. We've had a few people try to register hundreds of accounts with the bots to circumvent the 3-uses-per-12-hour limit.
