Anti-Abuse Team Weekly Report #18

First report of 2018. Nothing major to add now, outside of another mention of our impressive growth. We are working hard to keep up in Discord with all the new people. There may be a call for some 'volunteers' to help with our process in the coming weeks/months.

The details of this weeks prune of the member-list -

• 7365 Members before this week's prune was run. (767 new accounts since last week)
• 30 Day Prune has removed 101 dead accounts. (1 less were removed this Prune.)
• This leaves our count at 7264 Members after the prune.
• ~850 Peak Concurrent users this week. (Gentle, consistent growth.)

Updated stats on Bans and Blacklist -

• 1401 Discord bans (+57 new from previous)
• 1271 accounts in total are now Blacklisted by @minnowsupport (+82 from previous!)

This shows the trend of members gained over time. I use the number of users counted after each purge each week.

Blacklist Counts by Type:

This gives a breakdown of the major categories we list an account under in our Blacklist.

In summary:

We have recently added Copy-Paste as a Blacklist reason, this should add some granularity to the list. Currently there are no plans to review the current listed accounts to adjust them from other reasons to a more accurate 'Copy-Paste'.

Upcoming: Possibly looking for some deputies to assist with the influx of new members. More info to come.

A quick review of things that get you blacklisted:

• A single image or even multiple images, with very little text or only a basic bit of information with it.
• An embedded YouTube or DTube video with zero additions to the post that provide value.
• Attempting to gain multiple upvotes outside our 1 per 12 hour cool-down by any means.
• Any major violation of our community guidelines and rules. (This usually has to do with treatment of other users on the platform.)

Not all of these result in a ban from Discord since we want you to learn and improve.

Let's all help to make Steemit a place where creativity and originality are rewarded as well as possible.
