Thank you @flauwy ! im very honored to be on your minnow of the day! Thank you also for making some Very good suggestions.

In fact one of them is my dream!

Try to create a big Steemit project building a public earthship somewhere that teaches building techniques and financing with Steemit
I have been thinking about this, but I had the feeling that it isn't really ok to take so much from the reward pool and remove from Steemit. I wonder what your views are on this! Any pointers how best to even approach this would be wonderful!

Or maybe you dont mean to fundraise on Steemit , but just to network and work with fellow Steemians?

Hey Alex, I surely mean to try to raise as much as you seem fit to build sucha great project. And to be honest, I think these kinds of projects are the best thing can happen to Steemit because they bring many new people to the platform which will make it grow. How much is such a project anyway? A few thousands? Ten thousands? If you look at the Steem Park project They made tons of money to put some weird blocks into a park in New York. Don't get me wrong, it is a great project - but so is yours. So don't be humble when it comes to the reward pool.

How to get started? Good question. I think you need a team of specialists. You need a good writer and a designer. Both will make sure that the articles published about this project are top notch. You can probably the writer yourself. But a good designer is key. Make the project all about Steem and Earthships. Steemians will love that. Find a good public place where people can actually see it. I would suggest London but that is of course up to you. If you need a place for that I can ask around, I know many people in London.

Make the project public and get the city involved somehow or at least get a green light for it. Or you find a private place where the owner is happy to open it up to the public.

The most important thing is marketing on Steemit. Create a special account, a special logo and a series updating as often as possible, maybe daily.

THANK you for taking the time to write this. Very helpful.. and thanks for the nudge out of humbleness.. we should grab at what we are passionate about! Right now i live on the side of a mountain in India.. and have been here for 11 years now... BUT i MAY be making some moves back to EUrope so if that happens then yes i could see quite some potential for doing this!

cheers!

Well, of course you can do that in India as well. Doesn't matter where. :)

yep very true! its much easier actually and VERY cheap!

Congratulations Alex! :)
Well deserved with such a wide range of interesting topics that you share.
I certainly hope you make your dream come true, it would be an amazing project to see come into real life, and watch with photos and your posts.

thank you @michellecarter ;-) Maybe one day yes! at least im not in a hurry ;-)

The time has to be right for you for such a big project. :)

@eco-alex,
Congratulation on the minnow of the day, with @flauwy on your side you are in great hands. He had taught me so much about Steemit.
Just a quick note for you, I live in Cochise county Arizona USA and I live in a straw bale home that I bought unfinished and in disrepair and I have almost finished it over the past 5 years. There are 6 straw bale on my road and many more here in the valley that I live in. There is an earth ship house here as well a few miles away from me. I've been inside it and they did a great job on it.
Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate you and introduce myself
Have a good day!
@Lymmerik

THank you @lymmerik! @flauwy has already shared some great advice ;-)

Glad u had the chance to see a real earthship! and very happy for you that you took the great step of self building / completing an eco home. It's great to take your time if you can so that you can keep enjoying the process and not making hurried mistakes!

Well living in the desert southwest is a challenge anyway, but in my straw bale it is nice and cool in the heat of summer and warm in winter. I love the feel of serenity here in my house. Just a calming space. Nice chatting with you. See you in the Steem!
@Lymmerik

Congratz sir @eco-alex, hoping to be one of the minnow someday, @flauwy I've followed you up also. Thanks! ^_^

I am sure you will become a minnow very quickly. Do you know what the threshold is for that? I only know that Dolphin starts at 5000 SP.
