Surviving in an ecosystem is not an easy thing and steemit is a very good example of one. You wonder why I say so, steemit composes of the whales, dolphins and minnows.

I and many other minnows on steemit wish, hope and pray that one day someday, our post will appear on the trending page.

This page can be oppressing as it contains posts of great whales and dolphins. Let us be sincere with one another, Whales and Dolphins on steemit are great authors and curators; they have the contents, the followers, the upvotes and the resteems of several steemians. In the same instance, there are thousands of minnows who write good contents but do not get upvoted or resteemed by any whale or dolphin.

HEAR THE MINNOWS CRY

We are minnows and we write to our whales and dolphins.
Our highly esteemed steemit whales and dolphins, you write great and wonderful contents;

You are our role models and some of you are our mentors;
Your post occupy both the hot and trending page;
When we visit your blogs, we hope and believe that soon we will be like you even if not exactly;
Almost if not all of you will be present at steemfest2 this November and we would love to meet you firsthand; we would love to meet our steemit gods, mentors, role models and celebrities but how can we get to see you when we can’t afford a flight or train ticket to Lisbon in Portugal.

You wonder why we cannot afford it. Well it is very simple. We (minnows) spend hours writing good contents and post it, only to discover that our contents get only 20 upvotes (probably 1 dolphin, 18 minnows and ourselves) after several promotion on steemit chat (https://steemit.chat) (Are you surprised). Our contents are never viewed, upvoted, or resteemed. Our contents only spend 5 minute on the new page.
We follow, upvote, comment and resteem the dolphins and whales on steemit but we don’t get the same.

The upvote and resteem of a dolphin and whale is as precious to us as a Christmas gift. Please our highly esteemed 60’s and 70’s in reputation, listen to the minnows cry.

LETTER TO MINNOWS

We want to grow, I know we really want to grow. We want to swim and let the ocean current feel our presence. We want to attend #steemfest. So why don’t we do this?

Why don’t we start reading post written by fellow minnows and upvote good and quality contents, why don’t we follow ourselves, why don’t we resteem great post written by minnows so we can say #minnowsunite proudly

If the steemit gods (WHALES AND DOLPHINS) decides to help us, are we going to help other minnows?
