Making Steemit better a minnow at a time (XXII) - Reading the article before commenting

in #minnows6 years ago

Hello dear readers,
Actually, I wanted to write about something else today, but after reading some comments, I had to write this post.

Yes, I had a long day today and from time to time I reviewed the comments on Steem. Some have tilted me more than the challenges at work.

What I want to say is that most people do not read the articles they comment on. They have zero, nada, 0, no idea what's inside, but see the title. Some jump lines because it is easier for their brains. It works without ahving one supposedly.

My minnow tip for the week is to read the article at first, then write a comment. I've always said that you have to write many comments in the beginning, but for the first time the text should be read, what you want to comment. It does not make sense to write something stupid. If you do not understand it or you do not get it, leave it better. Just read the next article until you have found something that you understand. There are also simple pictures as posts here. But a comment with "nice photo" is not enough.

I already know that the two statements can now collide with each other, but they do not do that, on the contrary, they are close together.

Hope the idea meets at least one person. If a person improves with that, I have fulfilled my purpose.

Hallo liebe Leser,

It's hard to add something, but it seems that a lot of people think that the quantity of their comments is the quality itself. More comments - more chances to receive steem. Sad but True.

Thats a metality of some money minded fellows, they comment if perhap the author will spare them an upvote....and sometime it is because of some discords rules that mandates a person to upvote and comment for atleast five posts before dropping a link of your post.....some people might just tried to beat the rules and regulation by jumping down to the comment box.

Whichever way i personally frown to such act.

"Very much thank you for your advice..." LOL
You mean those kind of comments... It's incredible where they keep coming from...
Every single day, they keep on dropping them, but haven't read a word of my post...

great post :)

.

....

joke ofc. Yeah i think it is harder to comment with some thoughts made before.
Whenever i am not able to write something insightful i just simply leave without commenting most of the time, just like you have suggested.

Maybe most of this commenters arent really interested in the topic, thats why i mainly follow people, who put out content i connect with easily :)
I'm not following that much whales tbh haha

I hope this is not one of these senseless ones ;p

Thats so true...Some people coming to steemit for money are those kinda people ...Without reading a couple of line they comment like "nice post " etc etc...This isn't the aspect of blogging if you don't read ...Another problem is click baiting the title or blog cover pic ..Hope you will also look into the matter..

Hiii... Alexvan
