Hickups today...SteemAuto Still Down

It was a day mainly without steemit and not because my Wife made me step away from the computer. There are plenty of posts out there talking about what happened I'm sure, but that isn't what really matter to all of us. With the issues that happened today Mahdi needs to reset his servers or something to make SteemAuto work again. So for right now @minnowbuilder is going to have switch to manual voting.

When something like this happens I will do my best, but absolutely zero promises on lag times or even if I will be able to keep up with this.

Do know that I am looking into options for our own vote bot that will hopefully be more custom to what we are doing and when that happens we will also be in control of getting the bot up and running when issue like today arise.

As it's late I will get to some of the posts and then likely wait until the morning to see if steemauto is up and running. If you feel that a post of yours was missed please comment below with a link.

While you are here why not check the posts of others who missed votes and see if you can find someone new to engage with ;) . Anyone who bought shares clearly has a long term vision of being part of steemit and is looking to grow their accounts. Would think that there has to be a few people worth networking with.

Sort:

Just realized another issue. Even with SteemAuto working those with 1-3 shares don't have a large enough vote to get the daily upvote. Might need to come up with a different solution for them. Maybe a weekly vote at 7x their total weight. Might do this for 5 and under total shares. Just need to look and see if there is a good voter that allows weekly vs daily votes or if this will have to be manual.

Hmmmm... what a chaos this was. I hope the update next week will be smoother.

PS: I believe you have only missed this post of mine: https://steemit.com/photography/@trincowski/the-fish-market-of-vila-do-conde

This wasn't even tied to the system being down yesterday. Thinking maybe it was the timing of that post and the one before it. SteemAuto is set to 1 vote per day, but not sure the exact cut off of that. Is it per day based on some set time zone or do you need to wait 24 hours to post again. Need to get this answer.

Now if they would just start voting again...they are killing me here.

Ah ah ah! Looks like they've fixed the site... but not yet the API?
I use SteemVoter to cast a few votes. It's not working either.

Is it per day based on some set time zone or do you need to wait 24 hours to post again.

I don't understand those intricacies myself.

Each vote bot needs to reboot basically. The site and API is fine, but those that broke (all of them) during the shutdown need to reboot and everything will be working. SteemAuto is clearly not even close to a priority for it's creator and think that a better solution needs to be created and supported for the community as a whole.

It's something I'm going to be looking into for minnowbuilder, but also as a community service. Have a basic level bot and then some add-on features for accounts like MinnowBuilder who need more then the basic daily voter.

Maybe someone here can answer a question. I recently began experimenting with getting some minnowbooster votes. I really just make a few cent profit from it. But it looks good on my posts.
The question is since I wait a couple of days after posting. Does this help any with curation rewards for my supporters?
I figure as long as I am coming out a little ahead it is more than worth it if my supporters are gaining a bit in curation.

Yes votes after your vote will help your curation rewards. So by waiting you are giving those added curation rewards to your followers vs your followers voting after and giving the rewards to the vote sellers.

Now you might want to look at Smart Steem as I have been using them personally and the return is pretty nice right now. I've decided for the time being any steem I want to power up will be done so by buying profitable votes from smartsteem and then let the 50% of SP from the post be my power up. This lets me power up more then I would have otherwise.

Full Disclosure that link is my referral link. Nothing comes out of your pocket, but I get a tiny bit from every vote you sell if down the road you sell votes. Nothing for the purchases.

Thank you that was very helpful. Will be using that for sure. I really like the fact that my supporters also earn more. Means there is absolutely no reason not to maximize my steem.

As long as you vote after them they get the curation. You can target 24 hours later to make sure everyone has a chance.
