Have a feel like Virtual Bot Owner with the new feature called "sell your vote to Minnowbooster"
Minnowbooster has always been a complete package to the day to day needs of a steemian in steemit community. The term “complete package” should be understood as various services provided by Minnowbooster like leasing SP, delegating SP, buying upvotes by sending SBD and the latest feature like sell your vote to Minnowbooster.

The bot industry in steemit is really taking a shape in terms of addition of more number of bots and subsequent competition among them. But if I look at Minnowbooster, then it has grown persistently, and now it has become a giant bot edging out every other bot in stemmit in terms of huge SP and in terms of quality services it renders. So the support staff and admin of Minnowbooster really deserves an appreciation. Not to forget it is the only Instant bot we have in steemit at the moment (apart from randowhale who sometimes sleeps and sometimes awakes).
I have got a good level of experience in both auction bot and instant bot and in my opinion instant bot is always preferable. Because auction bot, at times lead to losses, if the bidders are more. So auction bot is a bit uncertain in terms of a return on your bid.
Recently a new feature called sell your vote to minnowbooster has been announced by Minnowbooster team, and today I will try to dig a little bit more about this unique feature.
Minnowbooster with 3.6 million SP and 60% VP on an average, is facing some sort of rounding off problem while delivering the upvote and because the SP is huge, even a 0.1% vote round off is resulting in significant deviation in actual upvote execution. Actually the steem blockchain has a round off issue when it comes to decimal places of voting weight. So the actual upvote value is having a significant deviation from the proposed upvote value.
In order to solve this issue the Minnowbooster team have come with a new feature called sell your vote to Minnowbooster. With this new feature, Minnowbooster will use your SP to deliver the vote to the bidder and for this they will pay you 75% of the revenue received from the bidder.
That means suppose a bidder sends 2 sbd to Minnowbooster and if Minnowbooster by using your SP executes an upvote, then you will get 75% of the bidding amount received by Minnowbooster, that is 2x75/100=1.5 SBD.
And in this way you can exercise you steempower to work round the clock for you even while you sleep and that will earn SBD for every vote you sell to Minnowbooster. Is not that a great deal..?. Or in other words I can say its the deal of this month. So lets make this October month as sell your vote to Minnowbooster.
In last couple of days, we have also noticed that Minnowbooster is returning a part of the SBD for not being able to vote full. This is something unique in bot industry and this shows the transparent service extended by Minnowbooster.
I have altogether a different perception to sell your vote to Minnowbooster and this is because I can see a multi-dimensional benefit of this feature to many steemit user who are having a decent SP.
Suppose you have a wish to become a bot owner and you have got a decent amount of steem power, but don’t have that soft skill to run and maintain a bot, then with this feature you can become a virtual bot owner. Simply go to Minnowbooster website and login there and get registered in sell your vote to Minnowbooster and authorize the bot to use your SP. With this you may have feel like a virtual bot owner. The revenue will be shared in the ratio of 75:25. That means 75% will be given to you and Minnowbooster will keep 25% of the bid amount. I am not going in to the step by step details of how to get registered in sell your vote to Minnowbooster, for that, you can refer any of the following articles which have great explanations about how to get registered and I am giving the link of those articles.

Further Minnowbooster has a plan to use your vote for small bidders to avoid the rounding off issue in steem blockchain and higher bid will be executed by Minnowbooster itself. Also you can unauthorize at any point of time, if you don’t wish to continue. Currently anybody having more than 500 SP can join this program. The 75% of the bid amount shall be deposited in your wallet in Minnowbooster account, which you can withdraw or use for Minnowbooster’s upvote service etc.
I think the following categories of people will be most benefitted from this new feature :-
(1) Those having a decent amount of SP and have a wish to become a bot owner but don’t have that soft skill to run and maintain a bot can join this program and have a feel like a virtual bot owner.
(2) Those who have got good volume of SP but are mostly inactive in steemit community, then this way they can utilize their SP and earn SBD round the clock.
(3) Its completely an automated process just like an instant bot and those who wish to exercise their SP round the clock have the best of the opportunity with the introduction of sell your vote to Minnowbooster .
(4) Anybody who is having more than 500 SP can join this program and this is because the range of bid in Minnowbooster is starting from 0.01 SBD.
Experience of upvotes from "sell your vote to Minnowbooster"
I have already tested this feature as a customer of upvotes. I sent 0.25, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6 SBD and got the following returns which I have explained in the chart given below. And I must say, the experience is awesome. And I have also observed that these votes were executed by this newly added feature called sell your vote to Minnowbooster.
To the best of my understanding, I think the new feature sell your vote to Minnowbooster is slowly getting pace to accommodate the smaller bids to Minnowbooster. In future as more number of people join this feature, It will come up as a complete solution to the underlying problem and it will definitely streamline the operation of Minnowbooster as a bot.

I like to see the innovation but it still looks like Minnowbooster is bouncing transactions. This would be a good option for anyone who needs to take a vacation but I'd like to see the technical issues get resolved before I try it. Any idea when normal voting service will be resumed?
If you have a look on steemd.com you can frequently see this message "Sorry, we could not upvote you with $xx.xxx, please try a different amount, sends 8 SBD and up work good and small sends like 0.1 SBD too."
Is this a Minnowbooster issue or a Steemit platform issue? Maybe a bit of both?
In order to solve this issue the new feature "sell your vote to minnowbooster" has been initiated by the team to streamline the current scenario. And people who are having decent SP have started joining the program "sell your vote to minnowbooster", its still in early stage and with this new feature upto 0.8 sbd has been started accepting and once we have more numbers joining this program we can see the higher bids will also get covered up.
So i think its great feature and minnowbooster always provide professional service to the best of my knowledge and its in beta stage and once it is out of beta every other sbd bid will be taken care of.

This is exactly intended and how our new system works. We just don't have the amount of sellers for the amount of people wanting an upvote yet. So our system notices all people in that range are on low voting power and sends you back your money so you can try a different amount. 8SBD and up is minnowbooster with enough power to vote all the time. 0.1SBD and under we have many minnows so these sends are more likely to work.
Ok, I understand it now. I had assumed that mid range vote bids would be filled by large SP holders using a lower vote weight as that is how I thought the old system worked.
As that brings all kinds of rounding issues we switched over to a more precise system. We would love to be able to vote less than 5% with mb
Funny thing this bounce is exactly because we are currently lacking sell voters. Minnowbooster can only vote really big like 15 dollars or more. And sellers for medium range are in high demand
Im wondering, why not just move some SP to a copy of MB so it's easier to make smaller votes? What I think I understand is that your SP is too high to accurately place smaller votes... Why not mb1 and mb2? Divide the SP amongst them....
Sadly not possible as we do not control the SP. It is mostly delegated to us.
