How to mine altcoins - Part1

There are several popular tools to mine altcoins with graphic cards. This three-part post will cover three of them: Nicehash, MiningPoolHub, and Zpool.

Part 1 - Nicehash

What is it?

Nicehash is the most easy to use miner, requires the least amount of maintenance, but is also less profitable then the other two.

How do I use it?

You can get started by using their latest stable release at : https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=nhmintro or using their beta release at : https://miner.nicehash.com

How much will I earn?

They provide a straightforward tool to calculate the profitability of your graphics card when using their service (https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=calc). Because you are renting your computer out, you are paid directly in bitcoin for the hashing service you provide. Therefore your income is predictable and displayed directly on the screen. There is no need to exchange the altcoins you are mining into bitcoin.

For exemple, my Core i-7 7700K and 2x 1080 Ti's are currently making ~0.0044 BTC/ day. This rate fluctuates according to the price of altcoins.

How does it work?

You download and install their app on your computer and decide how many processors or graphics cards from your computer you would like to rent out to Nicehash. You enter your own bitcoin wallet address or you can create an account on their website and get a wallet address from them. Their software will automatically benchmark your computer to determine your Hash rate for each algorithm they support.

Once you click the start button, the software will start mining the most profitable coin depending on your benchmarks and depending on the bids they receive on their website from people who are buying hashing power from them.
