How to keep your miner silent!!! pictures and tutorial

Hi guys, this is my first post be gentle please :D.

So the story is about loudness of our miners, in this case I will go wit Bitmain antminer L3+. very good miner with this dates that can accumulate up to 30$ (CAD).

85dB!!!!

Personally I am using mine at apartment building and that noise wasn't acceptable for my neighbors, wife, cat, people on street etc :D.

So lets back to work. What will you need?

1. Coller - get one from local advertise page used old pay it 10$.It need to be at least 80l so you can fit you miner there
   
2. Some sound and if possible heat isolation

1. HVAC ducting tube, I am using 6'' But I would go max 7'' no need for more , and make it like 20' (in this case)

4.Hvac round duct semi rigid aluminum flexible tube 4' (5'' diameter)

1. HVAC Aluminum Foil Tape (this is very good stuff) for sealing the holes and attaching parts to vents or cooler

Ok I hope I cover everything regarding hardware.

First thing what you need to do is to make 2 holes in a cooler depends on your flex tube diameter ( I used 5''). Also dont forgot to make up to 2 '' hole to get cables inside from power supply and Ethernet.

Get one piece of flex in there and tape it from inside with aluminum foil tape this will be you air intake. Make this piece like max two feet long, later at this and you will attach the Ducting tube

Make sure that ducting tube is inch bigger than aluminum tube so aluminum one can fit in there.

The other side of cooler will go directly with miner, so you need to attach aluminum tube directly to miner and tape it. this is part where heat goes out and make sure there is no leaking of hot air because that will heat miner more.

You'll need to push pipe with miner through that hole, might be little bit tricky but its manageable.

And connect the hvac ducting tube to aluminum one and that is that... Double less Noise!

I put box on top of cooler to keep there my power supply.

Watch you temperature of the miner first couple hours/ or days !
