Sindre at the anvil. creative commons images

in #miniatures6 years ago

I have worked some more on my Brok and Sindre idea. I have now posed the dwarf I have already made, so that he stands at an anvil, forging something that looks conspicously like a blade :-)

the rigging and posing itself was surprisingly easy. i basiccaly just did the skeleton, did parenting with automatic weights and Then did a little tweaking on the head.

A lot of light tweaking and material-making later this is the result(and modelling the hammer, tongs and anvil)

I have decided to release the images in this post as creative commons CC-BY 4.0
That means that if anyone needs a smith or a dwarf or both they are most welcome to grab one of these :-)

I think he worked out well both as an image and hopefully also as a printed mini-diorama. Now I just need to make his brother who I plan to have working the bellows, as this is integral to the original story.

I have also included a small video with a turntable animation of the posed model. I will of course also make a print ASAP.

Awesome work! Thanks for releasing it under a Creative Commons license.

Looks great! It would be fun if you could get an orange LED in the iron bar somehow in the printed version. My mind is racing off again, sorry.

no need to be sorry. I actually considered something similar. It is possible to print it with clear resin, and then paint only the parts that should be opaque. I have seen it done with really nice results

Good review. going to watch it
