Absolutely.Pains and Gains, both are remnants of the activities (regardless of good or bad) throughout life. As per one of the Indian theory our activities are stored in AKASHI (literal meaning SKY), records and our situation at present is the reflection of those records, no wonder in every religious scripture around world it is said that "Do Good to others". In our human language we denote this as KARMA. I enjoyed your topic.

@naturalmedicine, Most of the times we don't understand what is KARMA in real. We are source of Energy and we vibrate in Energy Levels, whatever we do it will come back in any form and that's the KARMA. There is a deep difference between a lesson and karma and by that i mean, in regards to pain, when it comes to lesson pain arrives in our life to awake us or to make us better versions, but in regards to pain of Karma it comes from our wrong doings and bad stuff.
