Thinking fast. Weekly micro-fiction contest results and new prompt: cologne
This is my micro-fiction story of 250 words for @jayna’s challenge. The prompt for this week is "cologne”.

Another ordinary day woke up, as usual, the sounds of the customers' murmurs who used to come to breakfast before starting their working day fill the diner, except for a stranger who was in silence in front of his coffee.
Dana was lazily cleaning a table, absorbed in her thoughts. It didn't take long for her to listen to the manager's protests about cleaning another table that had just been cleared.
But she was interrupted by a familiar smell. Her nostrils perceived the nauseating aroma of his after-shave cologne, which gave rise to buried memories of a youth full of forgotten promises.
She tightly grabbed the tray full of tinkling cups, revealing her unexpected nervousness. She shook her apron and hid a lock of hair behind her ear. She took a deep breath before turning over.
Mike leaned back on the counter, wearing the same old beige overcoat. He placed a fist on his waist, while a foul toothpick wandered from one side to the other in his mouth, a disgusting habit he could never abandon. The gleam of his badge hanging from his belt made the stranger nervous.
Everything happened very quickly, the stranger had taken Dana by her back, threatening her with a knife. Mike coldly and as fast as lightning had drawn his weapon. A deafening sound filled the place and suddenly the stranger fell.
"Drop the knife or I'll shoot!" Cried Mike suddenly.
A thought ran through his mind, "I think I did things backward again"
