My fingers are too short to enable me to get grip enough on the ball to pitch a deep curve, so that I have been compelled to depend more on drops, straight balls and the different artifices known to pitchers to deceive the batter. Pud Galvin

Now I participate again in the new challenge of @jayna.

This week I present a Micro-fiction for the writing contest with the key batter.

During his first week at the University, Mark was impressed with his buildings and sports fields.

The baseball represented one of the sports disciplines for which the University was recognized as one of the best, its players were classified among the most advantaged of the country.

Until now Mark had been part of the Baseball team of the high school so he requested an interview with the manager.

When arriving at the stadium, the manager attended him kindly, when evaluating his abilities after a test in the field of game, Mark was hired.

In his first game, when he took the turn as the batter, the pitcher sent him the first ball, he put it to the home run.

The whole stadium resonated with shouts, Rita who was present among the audience cheered Mark, who from the field managed to listen to her.

When Mark arrived at his residence, he communicated with his parents and told them that he had joined the baseball team of the university and that he had been granted a scholarship to finance his studies. His parents Mary and John were now very happy to know how Mark was adapting to his university life.

Now you would have to adjust your study day to include training with the team, with this new routine the time would pass quickly and soon you would get your university degree.
