Desperate!

Mary and John had excitedly prepared the journey they were making on their sailboat through the Caribbean Sea.

With John's sailor experience, he had prepared Mary to help him.

Mary being secretary of a law firm with little experience in the sea took on the challenge, she was tired of the monotonous life of the city, she needed to change her lifestyle so knowing the Caribbean allowed her to achieve it.

The first days passed without incident, during the day the sun shone on the sea, the flying fish and the dolphins gave joy to the crossing. In the evenings, the moon accompanied the couple, illuminating the sailboat, enveloping it in a dreamlike atmosphere.

Daily, John, after setting the route, was attentive to the reports of the meteorological service, anticipating any storm or bad weather that might arise.

Five days later, a light breeze began to blow the sea. John began to worry as he had a feeling that they might have problems.

He communicated the situation to Mary, reminding her of what they had studied.

The waves began to hit the boat hard. The sailboat was moved only with the help of a small engine the hours passed the situation worse.

Mary already felt that the situation of both was complicated since they were desperate imploring to God that the storm stopped soon.

At the end of the storm they spotted an island and headed towards it when they docked, they kept laughing at the scare that had passed.

Wonderful story, @felixgarciap! You did such a great job of building suspense, and creating conflict. It is an excellent technique to keep your readers interested so we keeping reading to see how it all turns out. Now I hope you write a sequel to tell us how they get off the island! :-)
