Scientists are now ready to drill Earth's Mantle.....
As you all know ..inner portion of Earth has been divided into 3 parts -->
- Crust (Continental and Oceanic)
- Mantle (Upper and Lower)
- Core (Inner and outer Core)
On which we live is crust part of earth ...as we go down in the Earth's surface , it's temperature increases.
Core part is hottest part of the planet earth. core is generally made up of Iron and Nickel...Inner part of core is solid while outer part is liquid..
Mantle is generally amde up of rock containing silicon, iron, magnesium, aluminum, etc.
Crust (rocky surface of Earth) is made up of mostly oxygen, silicon, aluminum, calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium.
Scientists are trying to drill the Mantle to know the facts of Earth structure and to avoid the occurence of Earthquakes...

Wow it's a big step, if they pass in this we will overcome from earthquake issues and many more.
