From the early age of human civilization one of the oldest desire of humans was to fly in the sky like a bird.This dream was fulfilled by two bicycle mechanic Orville Wright(August 19,1871-january 30,1948) and Wilbur Wright(April 16,1867-May 30,1912) better known as Wright brothers.

From their childhood they was very much attracted towards many types of machines and used to play with those.In very young age they used to work with many machines i.e.printing press,Bicycle Motors.This two genius inventor used to ran a Bicycle repairing shop.

Idea of Aeroplane.

In that time the use of Gladiator was observed by these two brothers and they thought if they add a motor in the Gladiator they can make a properly working Aeroplane.It is not that only they had that idea,many other inventor around the world claimed to fly a aeroplane.But the biggest problem was to control those flights and give them a proper system to use it.Where all the other inventor tried to make the motor more powerfull they just tried to make the aerodynamics of the aeroplane right and make it more stable.Then they conducted many experiment on balancing using bicycle,Yes they tried to stable a aeroplane conducting experiments on bicycle.They eventually got success and find the proper method to balance the aeroplane in front of wild air.From the year 1900 to 1903 they conducted several experiments on Gliders with the help of their bicycle shop employee Charlie Taylor.They mastered their pilot abilities and made a proper engine for their aeroplane in this time.They made the propellers and other parts of the aeroplane by their own.17th December 1903 they experimented with first human controlled aeroplane.And within next two years they mastered the technique of stable a aeroplane.
When many other claimed to make the aeroplane they made the first PRACTICAL FIXED WINGS AIRCRAFTS.

Urgency of money

They wanted to go further with their experiments.So they shifted from their home town and found out a lonely place to carry out their experiments.And they gathered the needed money from working on other projects and carry out their experiments which was their dream.

Experiments

In those times they conducted as a total almost 2000 experiments.In the early stages they used the Gladiator as a kites with rope and controlling it from the surface.Then they used a petrol engine to power their aeroplane but the problem was to control the aeroplane in mid air and landing it safely.After conducting many experiments on aerodynamics with bicycle they found a method to control the aeroplane in mid Air WHICH WAS THE FUNDAMENTOLMETHODS WITHOUT THOSE EVEN OUR MODERN PLANE CANNOT FLY. Their first human flight was for 12 seconds but those 12 seconds was the sweetest of 20th century which fulfilled the age old dream of humans of flying into the sky.Then in the same day they conducted 3 more trials and in the last experiment their plane was in the air for 59 seconds.

Finding the Success

Wright brother conducted all the experiments without any publicity so noone was aware of their grand success until a news paper posted a article about them.But noone beloved in them at that time a famous french news paper insulted them in their news paper.In the year 1908 Wilbur Wright went to france and gave a demonstration of their aeroplane in which he travelled a total distance of 12 miles.Their hard work then paid off and they got some healthy cash prize from french govt and a order of 30 aeroplane.From there they started to make commercial planes and till the death they used to make their plane by their own.

So the hobby of two american gentleman at the end leads them to the Greatest discovery of the human history.In the 1st 12 seconds of the flight the future of next 12 decade was written.
