In another lifetime
In another lifetime the boys in their boat out on the ocean wide were going around in circles because CQ the mermaid had gone off somewhere and wasn’t leading them anymore, and they were very tired from all the rowing; and what with a storm picking up they had decided to wake up and have a tot of rum.
“Break out the rum lads,” said the captain who was feeling all of a déjà vu coming on. The lads took to their rum thirstily and didn’t slop a drop.
“Where is that CQ when you want her?” said the captain to himself staring out at the empty ocean and wondering.
CQ, over in the other lifetime at the table with Captain Admiral Moriarty suddenly felt queer, then she was gone, just poof and not there anymore.
CQ had been beamed up into the alien’s spaceship that was hovering in outer space.
“What a strange day,” said Captain Admiral Moriarty reached for more wine.
The aliens began to study CQ who was swimming around in a bath of water still sipping her glass of wine.
