The Pineapple Fund uses Crypto for good causes
The Pineapple Fund exploded on the crypto scene and took their reach beyond the market. Recently they pledged to being a committed to donate $4 million matching MAPS by March 10th this year.
The Fund is a Bitcoin Charity that was created to operate anonymously in December 2017 by an anonymous donor. The founder had originally pledged 5,057 bitcoins , the equivalent of $85 million (as at the time of the pledge) to charity.
The latest beneficiary of the fund is the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), a non-profit organization carrying out PTSD research using an MDMA-based approach. The beginning of this year, MAPS announced that it needed donations worth $25 million to complete its research on Phase 3 of drug trials for this condition.
