Reich listed three common occupations favored by sadists.
He might, perhaps, have added abortionist?
Or, maybe, a mother or father willing to do this to their offspring?
10 weeks along, fearing for her life...
Can you see it in those eyes?
The fear? The anticipation of pain?
The hands, raised as if to try and protect, to defend?
I was shocked and surprised when I checked, to discover that babies in utero can feel pain even at such an early stage.
Would you intentionally subject this little one to deadly pain?

This infant, 10-weeks from conception, was removed with the mother's uterus to save her life from cancer. I can scarcely imagine the heartbreak of that mother, of that family.
@inphiknit has challenged us to make some memes,

I can feel the sadness just by looking at the little angel's eyes.

The unborn did not choose to exist. They did not act to commit trespass. There is no self-defense in abortion. It is murder, plain and simple.
Agreed. The unborn have no possible capability of self defense. We must defend them.

Yw, and thanks too. And you make me think; it's as if with it's hands, the baby was trying to block the bright lights from hurting it's eyes... wow, didn't see that before, for all the looking I've done...
Could very well be the case. I would expect light sensitivity to be an early development....
Agreed, and I don't think they would have functional eyelids yet, judging by how big the eyes seem for the amount of face/skin available. Is it ever something to meditate on...
Babies do feel pains no matter how little they are but the pain this baby was feeling was nothing compared to that of his/her mother's.
The joy of every mother is to be pregnant and givebirth to her child saftly.
Luvly story you've got here, it reminds me of motherhood.
