Well, it was a fun experiment. I conclude, if social media is based on the way society socializes, this means everyone will walk past, afraid of eye contact. Heads down, in their own little worlds, afraid of everyone else.... until they meet up with friends. Then they become human.
Society doesn't pay much attention to the artist sitting on the corner telling people he will paint their portraits for free. Even when there are miles of wires between them. It's always best to remain within a cloud of judgement.
People know how to press buttons and share photos. That is social, I guess. I think I'll pack up and go home.
