We're just talking about common sense regulation here.
Nobody needs an hour long news show.
Some reasonable legislation might be :
-Limiting interview rounds by restricting the hours they can broadcast.
-No high capacity video clips.
-Registration of hand mics.
-Full background checks and regular mental health checkups.
Only Citizens need full automatic Free Speech. If corporate media outlets want to have a small amount of free speech to hunt "Man-bites-dog" news stories, they will have to abide by the rules of civilization. Otherwise they will have to rely upon Citizens who are trained and capable of using the Right of Free Speech to protect them.
