Steemit Meetup and Story About Me Know Steemit (English Version)

in #meetup6 years ago (edited)

We often meet in Taman Ismail Marzuki, Cikini, Jakarta. In addition to me, there are @apilopoly, @willyana and @andrianhabibi. We used to sit on lesehan while drinking at the gate of Taman Ismail Marzuki. Just between the two gateways of the TIM plaza. From there the Steemit Budaya and KSI Jakarta Chapter begins. From there the three men began to bersteemit. They had been reluctant. Less interested.

Let me tell you a little bit of the story, some time before I "cerewet" invite the three of them to create a Steemit account. Once time, a few months before, towards the end of 2017, I was with some friends like to drink coffee in small shop in front of my office (Tempo Building) in Palmerah Barat, Jakarta. We share information about blogging, including the opportunities. From the chat came the name Steemit. But those blogger friends are not Steemians.

Some time later I created an account. But I forget this. I once read Steemit that I found are the names of writers I do not know. I'm not interested. They write in English. But I often find friends posts on Facebook that share their writing links in Steemit. From there curiosity arises.

At the end of the year, we take a vacation to the grandmother's house in Batang, Central Java. Batang is a district near from Pekalongan to Semarang. Well that's when I open an email and see the account I creat approved. Seeing such a long password reflex I thought about securing it. From there I started writing in Steemit, precisely December 26, 2017.

I learned everything from scratch. Own. No place to ask. No one is teaching, let alone promoting Steemit to me. Many cuteness-cuteness of course. Starting from using tags that are not in the list of tags to writing without photos. More funny when I post a short story of mine, which Chettah then attends. Investigate a calibaration there is a blog that once posted my short story.

After the holidays and returning to Jakarta, I started to invite friends to write in Steemit. Start from @willyana, then @apilopoly and @andrianhabi. Of course it is not easy to convince them. But eventually they create an account as well. Even @apilopoly had lost the password for his first account. That's the number of people I'm developing. At that time I did not know any KSI or other organizations ..

One day, I have send short message to @hermanrn via WA. I express the idea of ??creating a Steemit Budaya group (Culture Steemit Community). This is a space for artists and writers who use Steemit to network and unite. Herman supports. I immediately made the WA Steemit Budaya group. Initially composed of dozens of people. I also continue to promote Steemit to friends of writers, artists and cultural activists. I am quite aggressive. Friends like @willyana, @apilopoly, @andrianhabibi and @blogiwank help.

The result in a month the number of members of the Cultural Steemit Group exceeds 50 people. Now the number of members is over 100 people. One day, @apilopoly contacted me and spoke of the idea of ??making KSI Chapter Jakarta. This is to gather friends in Jakarta and surrounding areas to bersteemit .. I agree and give some input for that. At that time also Pilo create group WA KSI Chapter Jakarta.

We continue to meet intensively every week (Wednesday night in front of the TIM gate) to discuss Steemit. Some other friends come with us. Until there is information on Meetup KSI in Cimahi, West Java, we also register. I, assisted by Iwan Kurniawan (@blogiwank) also proposed to the editorial team of digital Koran Tempo, a national newspaper in Indonesia, to write about this Steemit. For me - and Iwan - it's interesting to write. This is a new thing: a social media is made on a blockhain basis and they reward the writer or content creator. Newspeg is Meetup in Cimahi. So there was a matter of two pages written in the national important newspaper Steemit.

When we (me, @willyana and @blogiwank) to Bengkulu were invited by the Governor of Bengkulu to discuss our Bengkulu Literature Festival, we took the opportunity to promote Steemit to the artists there. In fact I encourage them to recite KSI Chapter Bengkulu. Now members of KSI Chapter Bengkulu group are still a dozen people. But @wilyana, @blogiwank and @emongsoewandi the original Bengkulu people continue to promote Steemit to artists and non artists. Their members continue to grow. They will hold a Meetup in Bengkulu in July 2018.

A few weeks ago, @apilopily contacted me through WA.Ia said that one of Steemian from Aceh who actively invested in Steemit, @razack-pulo, will be in Jakarta by the end of March. Pilo suggests that we make discussions at once meetup. I agree. Other friends, like @willyana and @andrianhabibi, also support. He invited several meetings to discuss the plan several times. But it is constrained by my schedule.

A few weeks ago, while I was at Cangkir Sembilan coffee shop, the pilo called back to invite a discussion plan discussion with @ razack-pulo who was a specialist. Initially he invited to meet at TIM. But I invited to meet in Cups of Sembilan. After the evening, the Pilo arrived. I then invited Morenk @beladro to sit down to discuss the plan. I said good discussion in Cups of Nine. Morenk agreed. He was willing to prepare the equipment, ranging from banners to soundsysten.

So the discussion took place at Cups of Sembilan, Thuesday, Marc, 24, 2018. The atmosphere became more colorful when another senior Steemian, @ayijufridar was present. He is on a job in Jakarta. We also asked Ayi to join as a speaker with Doctor Razack Pulo. About 50 people meet at the cafe owned by Morenk @beladro in Tower Herbras, Kalibata City. Discussions are orderly and provide knowledge and enlightenment for all participants. Discussions began around 8 pm and closed almost 23:00. All enthusiastic to listen and learn. No stopping.

All Jakarta steemian unite!

This meetup was cool. I could feel itu when many people talked to me many things about Steemit system. It would be easy to explain it when we could talked each other directly. I think I should write new article for newbie.
